For generations, fireworks have been more than a family business. They have shaped our story, carried our traditions, and become part of who we are.
The story of V.Lebrilla began in 1948, when Basilio N. Lebrilla and Eligia V. Bariring brought together two Laguna families with generations of experience in making and displaying fireworks.
From their home in Bigaa, Cabuyao, they built a family business rooted in traditional Filipino pyrotechnics. Their work included bombshells, kwitis, kwiton, Castillo, Toro-toro, Fiesta Higante figures, and Girandola fireworks made for fiestas, weddings, birthdays, and community celebrations.
The family faced difficult years after fireworks licenses were revoked during Martial Law. Despite the challenges, Eligia, fondly known as Nanay Iling, continued the work she had started with her husband. She preserved the family’s knowledge, trained the next generation, and remained closely involved in the business.
Today, that tradition continues under her youngest son, Vincent B. Lebrilla, who serves as President and General Manager of V.Lebrilla. What began as a family business more than seven decades ago continues to grow while staying true to the experience, dedication, and knowledge passed down through generations.

The Real Work Begins On The Ground.
Before every show, our crew reviews the venue, plans the firing positions, prepares the fireworks and equipment, checks the racks and wiring, and confirms the required safety distances. From the first site inspection to the final connection, every step matters.
- 1948 Basilio Lebrilla and Eligia Bariring bring together two long-standing family traditions and establish the business in Bigaa, Cabuyao.
- 1972 The fireworks industry enters a difficult period after licences are revoked during Martial Law.
- 1977 Following Basilio’s passing, Eligia “Nanay Iling” Lebrilla continues the family enterprise with her children.
- 1992 With fireworks licences reinstated, the family begins rebuilding its manufacturing and display operations.
- 2003 V.Lebrilla earns major national competition victories, marking a new chapter for the company.
- 2013 The company wins the first International Sky Wizardry Fireworks Competition in Enchanted Kingdom.
- 2023 Representing the Philippines, V.Lebrilla wins the Championship and People’s Choice Award at the Honda Celebration of Light in Vancouver, Canada.
- Present The next generation continues to make fireworks, design shows, and carry the family’s work forward.
